Chinese Doctors: It is gross disrespect for NMA to be ignored – Dino Melaye
Former lawmaker of Kogi West Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Dino Melaye has reacted to the arrival of the 15 Chinese doctors despite the refusal of the NMA and Nigerians. Coronavirus: Seven Patients discharged from Lagos
Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu has announced the discharge of seven Coronavirus patients from the infectious disease Hospital (IDH) Yaba. He disclosed this development via his twitter handle on Thursday saying they were fully recovered and tested negative twice for Covid-19. He said “Good people of Lagos, “I bring you awesome news from IDH, Yaba, which is as a testament to our resolve to overcome the lethal COVID19 pandemic ravaging the world. “Today, we discharged 7 more patients who have fully recovered and tested negative twice consecutively for COVID19.”

FG grants amnesty to 2600 Inmates
The Federal Government has granted amnesty to 2600 prisoners in a bid to decongest prison facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Covid-19: Discos to provide free Electricity to Nigerians for Two Months
Electricity Distribution Companies (DisCos) have offered to supply free electricity to Nigerians for two months to reduce the effect of the Covid-19 lockdown. Covid-19: 22 new Cases recorded in Nigeria as toll rises to 276
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed twenty-two new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria which increases the total number of cases to 276. The news was confirmed by a post shared on the official Twitter handle of the NCDC. “Twenty-two new cases of COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: 15 in Lagos, 4 in the FCT, 2 in Bauchi, 1 in Edo “As at 09:00pm 8th April, there are 276 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. “ Forty-four have been discharged with six deaths.”

Coronavirus: FG to reduce 2020 Budget.
The federal Government has sent a new budget proposal to the National assembly for consideration. According to The Nation, the new proposal reduced the 2020 budget from N10.594 trillion to N10.276 trillion, dropped the oil bench mark from $57 per barrel to $30 per barrel. The volume of oil production was also reduced from 2.17 million barrel to 1.70 million barrel as exchange rate rose from N305 per dollar to N360.

16 new COVID 19 cases recorded in Lagos, FCT, Oyo, Katsina and Delta
The Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC has confirmed 16 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria. According to the agency, 10 new cases were recorded in Lagos, two in Oyo and two in FCT, one each in Katsina and Delta state. Nigeria now has 254 confirmed cases. Forty-four have been discharged with six deaths.
