FG directs JAMB, tertiary institutions to begin 2020/2021 admission processes
The federal government has directed the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and tertiary institutions, to commence with the admission processes for the 2020/2021 academic session. This was according to a remark by the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, at the 2020 Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria in Abuja, on Tuesday. The airline that conveyed Naira Marley to Abuja for his concert at Jabi Lake Mall has written an apology to the federal government following reports that the Minister of Aviation had suspended the airline. Wike sacks MD of Microfinance agency, orders arrest of officials
Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has ordered the dismissal of the Managing director of Rivers State Microfinance agency, Dr Ipalibo Sogules and the arrest of three other top officials over allegations of fraud. The officials include; Head of SMEs, Mr Nimi Harry; the Head of Finance and Accounts, Mr Ukele Okorji; and the Internal Auditor, Mr Sofiri Koko. This was according to a statement by the states commissioner for information and communication, Paulinus Nsirim. FG suspends Flight Company that conveyed Naira Marley to Abuja
The minister for aviation Hadi Sirika, has announced that the flight which conveyed Naira Marley to Abuja for a concert has been suspended indefinitely. He stated this at the daily briefing on the presidential task force on COVID-19 on Monday, adding that the company has been suspended indefinitely and the flight crew will be punished for providing misleading information. This follows the shutdown of Jabi Lake mall where the said concert was held.
