The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has said the use of non-medical face masks, which include self-made or commercial masks or face covers made of clothes, only reduce and not prevent the spread of diseases. The agency in a statement released yesterday said face masks made with cotton materials are more effective. Non-compliance is increasing our Coronavirus cases – Minister of State for Health, Olorunnibe Mamora
The Minister of State for Health, Olorunnibe Mamora has blamed the increased cases of Coronavirus in the country on non-compliance with the directive on lockdown. Speaking at the daily briefing of the presidential task force on COVID-19, Mamora noted that there is evidence of increasing community transmission in the country. Mother of DSS DG dies in Kano
Mother of the Director General of the Department of State Security, DSS Alhaji Yusuf Magaji Bichi is dead. Hajia Karimatu Abubakar died in Bichi town Sunday night and has since been buried on Monday in Bichi according to Islamic rights. Building collapses in Oyo State, kills Wife of House owner
A building has collapsed in Oyo State, killing the wife of the house owner. According to reports, the woman was trapped when the building collapsed at Onipasan area, behind Oluyoro Hospital, Ibadan. Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the State Police Command, Olugbenga Fadeyi, who confirmed the incident on Monday said, “Yes, there was a building collapse yesterday. It is under Agugu area. The building collapsed and the woman died. “It was the wife of the Alhaji that owns the house. She has since been buried”.

Gunmen abduct twin children of popular Oyo Islamic cleric

Couple who allegedly killed their 7-year-old-son for Money Ritual, arrested in Ogun State
The Ogun state police command have arrested a herbalist, Lajuwon Ogunleye and his wife Adetutu Apalaya on charges of conspiring and killing their 7-year-old son, Pelumi Apalaya, alongside one Fatai Sefiu.
