Nigerian Traders must pay $1M fee imposed on them – Ghana insists
The Ghanaian Ministry of trade has insisted that Nigerian traders in Ghana will pay every tax and fees imposed on them including a $1M registration fee. The Oyo State Police Command has announced the escape of the prime suspect in connection with the serial ritual killings of over five persons in Akinyele, Moniya in Ibadan. Recall that the prime suspect, 19-year-old Sunday Shodipe, was paraded before newsmen on July 17. Muslim lawyers applaud Kano singer’s death sentence
The Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria (MULAN) in Kano State, have applauded the death sentence handed to 22-year-old Yahaya Sharif-Aminu over an alleged blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad. The group in a statement released by its Chairman Muhammad Sani Garba Esq, said the judge was right in his verdict in which he convicted and sentenced the accused to death without prejudice to the right of appeal of the convict, because the Supreme Court had set a precedent in the case of Abubakar Shalla Vs State in 2007. Lanre Rasak, a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is dead. A source close to the family revealed that he passed away on Saturday.
