Buhari’s nephew, Mamman Daura has been flown abroad for an urgent medical treatment after exhibiting symptoms similar to Coronavirus. According to SaharaReporters, he was flown yesterday, 19th August to the United kingdom. “Daura, 79, was said to have been flown in a private jet to the UK on Wednesday after exhibiting respiratory difficulties with symptoms similar to Coronavirus since last Friday,” the report reads. Covid-19: Ikpeazu reduces Salaries of Political appointees
Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu has confirmed the slashing of salaries of political appointees in the state. According to him, the decision was due to the level of the country’s present economic status caused by the pandemic. NDDC: EFCC begins probe of Akpabio and Pondei
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has revealed that it has begun a probe into allegations of diversion of public funds made against the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio and the Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Prof. Daniel Pondei. Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta, President of Mali has resigned his position as president of the country. He shared the news while addressing the nation on Wednesday. Keïta stated that he does not want blood to be spilled for him to remain in power, adding that he was also dissolving his cabinet.
