Ibadan suspected serial killer has been re-arrested (photo)
The police in Oyo state have re-arrested Sunday Sodipe, the prime suspect in the series of ritual killings at the Akinyele Local government Area of Oyo State. He was recently declared wanted by the Police following his illegal escape from Police custody on August 11. The spokesperson of the state police command, SP. Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed his rearrest to newsmen this afternoon Sunday, August 23. Shodipe was re-arrested at his grandma’s place at the Ojoo area of Ibadan and is currently being detained at the Eleyele police station.

Kaduna Govt files criminal charges against Anglican Bishop of Zaria, Abiodun Ogunyemi for criticizing Gov El-Rufai
Abiodun Ogunyemi, the Anglican bishop of Zaria diocese has been arraigned before a chief magistrate’s court in Kaduna over alleged“defamatory remarks” he made against Governor Nasir el-Rufai. The Bishop who was arraigned on charges bordering on criminal defamation, injurious falsehood and criminal intimidation, had criticised the governor over the planned demolition of 110-year-old St George Cathedral in Zaria. A Jet belonging to king air jet, King Air 200 jet with registration number 5N-HIS crashed into a fence at the General Aviation Terminal of the Lagos Airport on Friday August 21, after suffering brake failure.
