Covid-19: Chinese Medical Team will have no contact with our Patients – FG
The Federal Government has made it known that the Chinese medical team currently in Nigeria will have no contact with the patients in Nigeria. This comes amidst fears that an index case was discovered in Wuhan, China.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and Chairman of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, who spoke in Abuja yesterday said the Chinese would work on the protection of frontline health workers, maintenance of the equipment that they have brought and “will not directly meet nor interact with our patients while in Nigeria.”
He also assured that all members of the Chinese working team have been undergoing the mandatory 14-day quarantine in Nigeria, before starting their work.
