Ex-Power Minister Adelabu’s Sister, Twin Sons Abducted in Ibadan
Gunmen have abducted Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, the younger sister of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, along with her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, in Ibadan, Oyo State. The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday morning while she was taking the children to school in the Elewura area of Challenge.
According to a statement from the family, the attackers intercepted the victims around 7:30 a.m. and whisked them away to an unknown destination. Security agencies have since launched investigations and rescue operations.
The family has appealed for calm and urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information that could jeopardize ongoing efforts to secure the safe release of the victims.
The abduction adds to growing concerns over insecurity in Oyo State, coming weeks after the kidnapping of dozens of students and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area.
