FCTA Releases Hotline Numbers for Reporting Uncleared Refuse in Abuja
The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has announced four telephone numbers for residents to report cases of uncleared refuse across Abuja, as part of efforts to address the city’s waste management challenges.
The disclosure was made in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Senior Special Assistant to the FCT Minister on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka. He said the initiative is aimed at ensuring waste management contractors carry out their duties promptly and effectively.
Residents are encouraged to send photos and videos of uncollected waste via WhatsApp to the designated numbers, along with clear location details to help identify and hold responsible contractors accountable.
The hotline numbers are: 08038643087, 07011073406, 07011255710, and 09114843425.
According to the FCTA, the move is part of a broader strategy to improve environmental sanitation and promote accountability. The administration also urged residents to actively support the initiative by promptly reporting sanitation issues to help keep the FCT clean and healthy.
