VDM and Mr Jollof Will Face Full Wrath of the Law After In-Flight Fight – NCAA
The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has vowed to take strong action against social critics Very Dark Man (VDM) and Mr Jollof after their physical altercation inside a United Nigeria Airlines aircraft at the Asaba International Airport on Sunday, November 17.
NCAA spokesperson Michael Achimugu reacted to the incident in a detailed post on X, condemning the influencers for endangering passengers and violating aviation safety rules.
Achimugu, who was mid-flight when he first saw the viral video, said the behaviour displayed by both men was “unacceptable,” especially from individuals who regularly preach discipline to millions of followers online.
He explained that the airline is expected to officially report the incident to the NCAA, after which the case will be forwarded to the authority’s legal department for sanctions.
Achimugu stressed that there is zero tolerance for unruly conduct onboard any aircraft, noting that the fight risked the safety of all passengers, crew, and the aircraft itself.
He added that whether the pilot allowed the men to continue the flight or had them deplaned would also determine further consequences.
Both VDM and Mr Jollof are currently at the Delta State Airport Police Command, where they are giving their statements as investigations continue.
