Obiano’s death rumour, wicked, irresponsible – Soludo
Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has debunked social media rumours claiming that former Governor Willie Obiano has died in a London hospital.
In a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, Soludo described the reports as malicious, false, and deeply irresponsible.
The governor said he had personally spoken with Obiano and could confirm that his predecessor is alive and in good health.
Soludo criticised those spreading unverified claims, urging journalists—especially online publishers—to always verify information through official channels before publication.
He warned that circulating unfounded death rumours is dangerous and undermines public trust.
Soludo called on Nigerians to disregard the fake report and wished Obiano continued health, peace, and a long life.
