Actress Judy Austin has advised young women not to rush into marriage, especially when they are still immature or barely know their partners. She cautioned that marrying a man solely because of pregnancy often leads to regret.
Judy urged women to take time to truly understand the person they intend to marry and ensure they are emotionally and mentally ready for the commitment. According to her, maturity is essential, so that if things turn out differently from expectations, they will have the wisdom to make the right decisions for themselves.
She criticized the trend of young women, some as young as 22 and still learning basic personal hygiene, hurrying into marriage without proper preparation.
Judy herself married early, but the union ended. Her ex-husband, Mr. Obasi, has publicly appealed to see their children. She later married actor Yul Edochie after becoming pregnant for him.
