I left Christianity for Islam in search for truth – Burna Boy
Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy has revealed that he left Christianity for Islam as part of his ongoing search for spiritual truth.
Speaking in an interview with streamer Playboymax, the Grammy-winning artist said his desire to understand life’s deeper meaning led him to explore different faiths. However, reading various religious texts has often left him “more confused than enlightened.”
Burna Boy added that his spiritual journey is still unfolding, noting that he remains committed to finding personal clarity and understanding in his beliefs.
“Growing up, I was a Christian and then I converted to Islam. It’s like I’ve studied it all, but I’m still out here trying to find out what is really going on. The more I research, the more confused I get,” he said.
