Nnamdi Kanu: On October 20 Nigerians will rise with one voice to demand justice and freedom – Sowore
Former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has announced October 20, 2025, as the date for a protest march to the Presidential Villa in Abuja, calling for the release of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
Kanu, who was rearrested in Kenya in 2021 and has remained in DSS custody, was discharged and acquitted by the court, but the government has yet to release him.
Citing concerns over Kanu’s deteriorating health, Sowore urged Nigerians to join or send representatives for the march.
In an X post on Friday, he wrote:
“October 20, 2025! This is the day Nigerians rise with one voice to demand justice and freedom. If you can’t attend, send someone who can. We march to Aso Rock for #FreeNnamdiKanuNow.”
