We cannot continue like this – Pastor Paul Enenche reacts to death of ARISE TV anchor, Somto Maduagwu

The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr Paul Enenche, has expressed deep grief and anger over the tragic death of Arise Television anchor, Somtochukwu “Sommie” Maduagwu, who was killed during a robbery attack in Abuja on Monday.

Maduagwu, a rising star in broadcast journalism, was reportedly attacked by armed robbers at her residence in Katampe, Abuja, leading to her untimely death. Her passing has triggered widespread outrage and sorrow across Nigeria’s media and public spaces.

Speaking during the Commanding the Day midnight prayer session, Pastor Enenche condemned the killing in strong terms, describing the perpetrators as “beasts” and declaring that they would not escape justice.

He said, “In the last three days, there was a very terrible robbery attack in a neighborhood here in the FCT, which led to the death of a young lady vibrant, full of life, and a broadcaster (Somtochukwu Maduagwu).

“I was told today that her fiancé, who was to marry her in just two months, wept like a baby. Such pain, such loss.

“I told someone, ‘These are not human beings, these are animals, beasts, that killed this innocent person.’

“Human lives cannot be wasted like this. Precious talents cannot be cut short like this. We cannot continue like this.

“And for these killers, they will never go free. They will never escape.

The blood of the innocent will cry out against them and pursue them to their graves, in the name of Jesus. They will never go free, in Jesus’ name.”
