I will continue serving until God appoints a successor at His own time – Pastor Kumuyi tells those asking him to resign as General Overseer of Deeper Life Church
Deeper Life Bible Church General Superintendent, Pastor William Kumuyi, has warned members against pushing for his succession, insisting no one can compel him to step down.
Speaking during a Bible study, the 83-year-old recalled comments from a member and a young preacher suggesting the need for a successor, which he described as premature. He stressed that leadership change is God’s decision, not man’s, and cautioned against attempts to pressure or control him.
Kumuyi urged members to focus on the church’s mission rather than agitations, affirming he would continue serving until God appoints a successor “at His own time.”
