Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Umar Sani, has expressed confidence that former President Goodluck Jonathan holds the key to reviving Nigeria’s economy.

Speaking on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief on Tuesday, Sani said that ahead of the 2027 general elections, Jonathan remains the PDP’s best choice, describing him as the most suitable candidate, particularly in the interest of the Northern region.

So we are not looking at Jonathan from the promised angle. That has been resolved. The law has already been taken care of.

“He cannot do more than one term. So if he cannot do more than one term by the provisions of the law and the constitution, then the only thing remaining for him is to do that one term and go away,” he said.
