Nnamdi Kanu murdered over 50 soldiers, 24 policemen, ordered burning down of Lagos – Omokri alleges
Reno Omokri, former presidential aide and social media commentator, has accused Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), of ordering the killings of over 50 soldiers, 24 policemen, and numerous civilians in the Southeast.
Speaking on Channels TV, Omokri dismissed former Anambra governor Peter Obi’s claim that Kanu’s ongoing trial “doesn’t make sense.” He said he possesses video evidence of Kanu instructing his followers to commit the killings and allegedly calling for Lagos State to be set ablaze.
Omokri defended the government’s decision to prosecute Kanu and criticized Obi for not openly condemning IPOB and the violence perpetrated by unknown gunmen in the region.
“Peter Obi said the trial of Nnamdi Kanu does not make sense. Listen, I have a video which we cannot play here because of BBC, you heard him telling his supporters to kill soldiers, burn down Lagos.
“After that video, do you know how many soldiers died in the Southeast? Over 50 died, as a matter of fact, there was an army couple that were killed and beheaded in Imo.
“160 Police stations were shut down in the Southeast because IPOB, unknown gunmen and ESN attacked them and killed 24 policemen.
“How can you say the trial of a person who killed these people does not make sense?”
