I am part of any arrangement to remove this government from power- Sule Lamido

Sule Lamido, a former governor of Jigawa State, has declared his willingness to participate in “any arrangement” aimed at removing President Bola Tinubu from office in 2027.

This statement comes as Nigeria’s political landscape intensifies in anticipation of the upcoming general elections.

It is noteworthy that a group of opposition leaders recently established the All Democratic Alliance (ADA) on Friday, a new political party designed to contend with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the next presidential election.

Reports indicate that this newly formed coalition party is being spearheaded by former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and the immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir el-Rufai.

Lamido, a prominent member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stated that he is amenable to joining any entity no matter its nomenclature if its objective is to dislodge the APC from power.

He leveled accusations against the Tinubu administration, alleging that it is dividing Nigeria along ethnic lines and utilizing “the institution of the state in manipulating, coercing and controlling the opposition.”

The former governor also claimed that the entire government is not for Nigerians but for the political party.

Lamido explicitly stated, “I am part of any arrangement, no matter its nomenclature, to remove this government of incompetence, insecurity, that is dividing Nigeria firmly between north and south, out of power. I will go into any arrangement for that purpose.

“I will be part of any arrangement, configuration if it is going to remove this government from power.”
