“Tell the world how I betrayed you”- Kenneth Okonkwo tells Peter Obi

Kenneth Okonkwo, who previously served as the Spokesman for the Labour Party’s Presidential Campaign Council, has issued a challenge to the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Okonkwo wants Obi to “tell the world how he betrayed him after leaving the Labour Party.”

Okonkwo made these remarks while appearing on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics program. He also stated that he never consulted any of Obi’s rivals during the poll.

He elaborated on his loyalty, saying, “When I worked for him, I never consulted any politician. I am making a public statement. I never talked to any political party. I was 100% loyal.”

“When I left, I told the whole world…I said from now onward, I am not going to speak for this person again.” He added, “They don’t understand what betrayal means. Anybody who is writing or saying anything about me is a reflection of who that person is; not a reflection of who I am.”

It should be recalled that in July 2024, Okonkwo, who was a fervent supporter of Obi during the last election, parted ways with the former Anambra governor and dumped the Labour Party.

Okonkwo further clarified his position, stating that since Obi made an insinuation that Jesus had 12 disciples and one turned against him, it means he’s claiming he is the Jesus in the analogy.

Okonkwo then posed a rhetorical question: “How can you betray somebody you are not working for?”
