2023: I hold no grudge against anyone – Ikpeazu
Former Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has stated that he holds no grudges over the political outcomes of 2023, emphasizing that he suffered no personal injury.
Ikpeazu made these remarks at his home in Umuobiakwa, Obingwa LGA, during a gathering of political leaders and stakeholders from the nine local governments of the Ukwa-La-Ngwa bloc. Responding to the stakeholders’ call for him to assume their leadership, Ikpeazu expressed deep gratitude for their solidarity and reiterated his lack of bitterness regarding the unfavorable political events of the past year.
“I hold no grudge against anyone.
“There were no personal injuries done to me.
” What happened was a setback to our collective agenda of building a state where no one feels marginalized,” he said.
He acknowledged that his people still feel marginalized under the current Abia administration but assured the Ukwa-La-Ngwa stakeholders that he would accept the leadership responsibility they had entrusted to him. Earlier, Don Ubani, a former Commissioner for Information in the State, addressed the gathering, stating that Ukwa-La-Ngwa leaders from various political affiliations had found a capable leader in Ikpeazu.
