“Sheath your swords” – Shehu Sani begs Nigerians over Jamb error
In response, Sani emphasized that both humans and technology are prone to mistakes and urged affected individuals to forgive and move on, now that the Registrar has acknowledged the issue.
Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has called for forgiveness for JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, following his admission of a technical error in the 2025 UTME.
Oloyede recently revealed that a glitch contributed to the widespread failure, with over 1.5 million out of 1.9 million candidates scoring below 200 marks. The disclosure sparked outrage across the education sector.
Posting on X, Sani wrote: “No human being and no technology is beyond error. The JAMB Boss Professor Ishaq has admitted errors and sought forgiveness and promised rectification.
“He should be forgiven and given the chance to redeem his agency.
“It’s better than being arrogant, recalcitrant or looking for scapegoats.
“He made mistakes but was humbled to admit it. The affected persons should sheath their swords please.”
