99% of stories about women abroad who divorced their ‘innocent’ husbands are false – Canada-based Nigerian woman says
Canada-based Nigerian woman, Nkechi Bianze, has dismissed claims that most Nigerian women abandon their husbands after being brought abroad.
According to her, 99% of such stories are untrue. Over the years, narratives have circulated about Nigerian women allegedly reporting their spouses to the authorities, exploiting legal loopholes to evict them from their homes, and taking over their properties. However, Bianze argues that these accounts are largely exaggerated or false.
“Every now and then, we see MEN and a few pickme women fabricating stories about women abroad who divorced their innocent husbands,” the mother of two wrote in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
“As in, these dundies sell us stories of how these men were perfect husbands who brought their wives abroad, but their wives divorced them and even took everything and sent them back home.
“I have stayed abroad for years and I know that 99% of these stories are FALSE.
