We will emerge stronger – Fubara tells Rivers people

Suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has assured residents that the ongoing political crisis will strengthen, rather than weaken, them.

Hosting Muslim leaders from 20 Islamic groups at his residence in Port Harcourt during Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, Fubara urged patience and trust in God’s plan. He emphasized his commitment to justice and a society free from oppression, assuring the Muslim community that their concerns would be addressed once the political situation stabilizes.

He warned against inciting violence, stressing that Rivers State would remain peaceful and a model for others.

Representing the Muslim Ummah, Alhaji Nasir Awhelebe Uhor expressed support for Fubara, commending his inclusive governance. He urged President Bola Tinubu to reconsider the emergency rule in Rivers and restore Fubara’s full authority.
