Immigration stopped me from leaving Nigeria, claimed I am on watchlist- Sowore
Omoyele Sowore, the African Action Congress presidential candidate in the 2023 election, revealed that the Nigerian Immigration Service has prevented him from leaving the country, as his name appears on their watchlist.
Sowore shared this information in a statement and video posted on X on Friday, stating that he is being subjected to harassment and a violation of his rights.
He wrote, “The Nigerian Immigration Service #nigimmigration continues to subject me to unwarranted harassment and abuse. Violating my rights repeatedly.
“Today, again, they stopped me on my way out of Nigeria, claiming I am placed on their WATCHLIST!”
