Folakemi Falana, daughter of human rights lawyer Femi Falana, has issued a warning to social media critic VeryDarkMan, demanding a retraction of alleged defamatory remarks about her family. In an Instagram post on Friday, she denied accusations of bribery and corruption involving her father and brother, singer Falz.

This follows claims made by Bobrisky in a leaked audio recording shared by VeryDarkMan, in which Bobrisky alleged that Falz contacted him regarding a presidential pardon, with Femi Falana allegedly negotiating a N10 million settlement.

Falz denied the allegations, explaining that Bobrisky had only asked him for N3 million to secure VIP treatment in prison. Falz and Femi Falana’s legal firm, Falana & Falana Chambers, gave VeryDarkMan 24 hours to retract the claims. VeryDarkMan responded by stating he merely shared the leaked audio and did not defame anyone.

In her post, Folakemi added that since 2016, her family’s law firm has been offering free legal support to those seeking presidential pardons.

While expressing her disappointment over the development, Folakemi wrote: “My Parents and our firm, Falana & Falana have been applying for presidential pardons for Nigerians FREE way before a lot of you were born or could talk.

“It’s even crazier that all it takes is for a ridiculous character like VeryDarkMan to accuse my dad and Falz of bribery, corruption and perversion of the of justice and you people suddenly forget who they are and what they stand for.

“For him to have the audacity to go as far as even accusing Falz of being homosexual is wild. For the record, anyone can write the President to request a pardon for any convicted person in Nigeria.

“Do you think my dad or Falz need Bob’s money??? For what? Seeing as you have refused to do the needful, #verydarkblackman see you in court.”
