Lagos State Government extends work-from-home policy for Public Servants by Three Months
The Lagos State Government has extended its work-from-home policy for public servants by three months.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu approved the extension in a circular issued by the Head of Service, Bode Agoro, on Wednesday, September 4.
Originally implemented on February 28, the policy allowed employees on grade levels 01 to 14 to work remotely for two days per week, while those on grade levels 15 to 17 were permitted to work from home one day per week. This initiative was introduced to alleviate the impact of the fuel subsidy removal on public servants.
In the new circular, Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted that the policy has enhanced productivity across ministries, departments, and agencies, which led to the decision to extend it for another three months.
