Chelsea Winger, Madueke to make England Debut, ignores Nigeria

Chelsea winger Noni Madueke seems to have chosen to play for England over Nigeria, as he has been included in the Three Lions squad for the Nations League matches against Ireland on September 7 and Finland on September 10.

Interim manager Lee Carsley called up the 22-year-old following his strong start to the 2024/2025 season, in which Madueke has scored four goals, including a hat-trick in Chelsea’s 6-2 win over Wolves. If he plays in either of these matches, Madueke will no longer be eligible to represent Nigeria at the international level.
