End Bad Governance: Nigerians have shown they are active citizens not slaves – Aisha Yesufu
Popular activist Aisha Yesufu stated on Saturday that Nigerians have demonstrated they are not slaves. Yesufu praised those who defied security forces to participate in the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protests and the one-million-man march.
The protest organizers had committed to holding a one-million-man march across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, culminating in the 10-day #EndBadGovernance demonstrations on Saturday. Among their demands was the reinstatement of the fuel subsidy.
Yesufu posted on X: “I am so proud of Nigeria citizens who defied the brutality of the Nigerian security agents and kept protesting.
“They showed they are Active Citizens not Slaves. May the souls of those killed continue to rest in peace.”
