I have lived in exile before and appreciate how tough it can be. Keep calm – Dele Momodu takes a dig at Reno Omokri for criticizing him
Publisher Dele Momodu has responded to a recent interview with Reno Omokri, in which Omokri criticized him.
In the interview, Omokri questioned how a Yoruba graduate who runs an ‘Owambe magazine’ could be considered an expert on the Nigerian economy.
Momodu, who graduated with a degree in Yoruba Language, is known for running the society magazine Ovation.
Reacting to this, Dele Momodu expressed that he knows how tough it is for Reno to live in exile
’My dear Aburo, RENO, I will forever treasure your kind words… I’ve lived in exile before and appreciate how tough it can be, no matter how wealthy you’re. At one point, I nearly fell into depression. Not many people can understand. Pls, keep calm. Everything is gonna be alright, by God’s grace…
You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers… I love you, unconditionally…:
“Happy birthday Aare Dele Momodu, one of Nigeria’s finest. What would Nigerian society be like without you? You bring a civilised air of bonhomie that cuts through region and religion, and now your social gravitas is doing the same thing in Ghana, a country I have just returned from and one where your name is on the lips of many of their elites for good. More positivity has been attracted to Nigeria through your existence than through some of the many embassies and consulates we maintain. And now, your offspring are walking down your well-trodden paths. It is with great joy that my family and I say happy birthday to you.” – RENO OMOKRI, MAY 17, 2023”
