Labour calls off nationwide strike
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have called off the nationwide strike.
This decision allows for uninterrupted discussions with the tripartite committee regarding the new national minimum wage.
TUC chairman, Festus Osifo, confirmed this development on Tuesday.
According to DAILY POST, labor leaders met with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, and other government officials on Monday. They concluded that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is dedicated to implementing a new minimum wage exceeding N60,000.
