Wizkid does not release most of his features with Nigerian artists if it doesn’t meet his standard – Slimcase

Nigerian singer Slimcase has explained why his Grammy-winning colleague, Wizkid, often holds back many of his collaborative tracks with other artists.

Slimcase revealed that Wizkid listens to songs about 50 times to determine if they meet his standards before releasing them.

He noted that many artists’ collaborations with Wizkid remain unreleased because they fail to meet his high standards.

Speaking in a recent interview with Naija FM, Lagos, Slimcase said, “When you make music with Wizkid, he will let you do your thing without any scrutiny, then in your absence, he can listen to the song like 50 times to know if the song meets his standard. That is why you see artists in the studio with Wizkid and the song never drops.”
