Veteran entertainer Charly Boy has directed criticism towards the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) regarding its handling of the arrest, arraignment, and detention of crossdresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky.
Taking to his social media platform, CharlyBoy urged the commission to redirect its focus to more pressing matters and refrain from targeting Bobrisky, asserting that Bobrisky is not the root cause of Nigeria’s problems.
Bobrisky’s arrest occurred on April 3, followed by his arraignment in court on April 5 for allegedly mishandling the Naira. Following a guilty plea, the court ordered his remand in EFCC custody until April 9 for sentencing. However, due to the Eid-Fitri holiday, the judgment date has been postponed.
