ASUU strike: Don’t allow citizens suffer because of Govt’s failure – Yul Edochie tells Protesting Students after they blocked Lagos-Ibadan expressway
Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has urged students to take their grievances to the National assembly and Aso Rock instead of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway
Students on Tuesday blocked the Sagamu Interchange section of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, demanding an end to the seven months old industrial action. This left motorists stranded
Reacting to this, Yul in a tweet he shared applauded them but asked them not to allow citizens suffer for the failure of the Government to resolve the strike.
“Dear students, it’s good to see you’re expressing your displeasure over the ASUU strike. However, this move doesn’t make much sense.
“Citizens don’t have to suffer bcos of the govt’s failure to resolve the strike. If you want to block the road, block the national assembly, block Aso Rock, he tweeted
that is a good advice but most of this citizen are also parents to those students……..
You said the fact because those bastardized our education are not the one plighting the road.
I urge them to go to a place like airport, national assembly and so on, then they will know the damages that they have caused
