An Associate Professor of Film at Columbia University, Racquel Gates, has asked men to stop proposing to women on the day they are being celebrated for an achievement.
Gates in a series of tweets she shared noted that the day a woman is being celebrated is not the day to propose to her as she advised women in such circumstances to break up with their partners
The post generated some controversies with some ladies agreeing to the idea adding that it is just mere laziness and selfishness, others opposed.
