2023: We need someone who can fix our broken nation – Bishop Kukah
The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Kukah has outlined the expected qualities of President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor come 2023
He said Nigerians at this point must have learnt their lessons from the current administration.
Bishop Kukah, in his Easter message to Nigerians, described the current administration as a tragedy that has befallen the country and inflicted untold pains and sufferings on its citizens
Kukah advised that the next president of Nigeria must be an individual with empathy and one that can fix the nation.
“The next President of Nigeria must be a man or woman with a heart, a sense of empathy and a soul on fire that can set limits to what human indignities visited on citizens that he or she can tolerate, he said
“2023 beckons and the stage is set. The challenge is whether we have learnt any lessons from the tragedy that has afflicted us in the last few years
“We need someone who can fix our broken nation, rid our people of the looming dangers of hunger and destitution
that is true and God almighty will choose the best candidate for us this time around…….
