2023: let us come together as a fair nation and concession the Presidency to the South-East – Doyin Okupe

Former Presidential aide, Doyin Okupe ahs called on Nigerians to concession the Presidency to the South-East.

He made this call In a tweet he titled ‘2023: Igbo presidency as a national imperative’. In the letter which was addressed to the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, Abdullahi Adamu, Doyin Okupe explained how the death of Moshood Abiola and Sani Abacha led to the issue of zoning in the country.

According to him, the fact of Igbo marginalization & political oppression will be self-evident if a Northerner becomes president again.

In his words: “Fellow Nigerians, let us come together as a fair and just nation that we are. Let us concession the presidency to the Southeast in 2023 and decisively end the Nigerian Civil War forever.

“The fact of Igbo marginalization & political oppression is self-evident. Political parties will in a few weeks elect their presidential flagbearers

“It is equitable that once the above stands and power is conceded to the south, the next president must come from the South East

“In the South, only the southeast is yet to produce a civilian president. Fellow Nigerians, let us come together as a fair and just nation that we are.

“Let us concession the presidency to the Southeast in 2023 and decisively end the Nigerian Civil War forever
