Presidency: South Easterners will help in wealth creation and fight against poverty ravaging Nigeria – Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has said that a president from the South East will bring about unity to the country.

He said this while receiving a 2023 Presidential aspirant, Mao Ohuabunwa on Thursday in Abeokuta. The former President noted that a South East president will help in wealth creation and fight against poverty ravaging the country.

“Beyond bringing unity to Nigeria or being the cement that holds Nigeria together, I believe that Southeasterners can model hard work and entrepreneurship.

“This will help in wealth creation and fight against poverty, which is ravaging Nigeria,” Obasanjo said
