Why President Buhari did not attend the funeral of the Chief of Army Staff – Lauretta Onochie
Presidential aide, Lauretta Onochie has come out to give reasons why President Buhari wasn’t at the funeral of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, on Saturday, May 22.
The Army chief and ten other military officers died in a military plane crash in Kaduna state while on official duties. Their remains were laid to rest at the National cemetery on Saturday May 22 but the President and his vice were no where to be found at the ceremony.
Many Nigerians attacked the President and Vice President for not making out time to attend the funeral since it was held in Abuja where they reside.
Lauretta in a tweet gave a reason for the President’s absence. She wrote ”WHY PRES @MBuhari DID NOT ATTEND THE FUNERAL FOR OUR LATE CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF AND THE OTHER HEROES WHO DIED IN AN AIRCRASH For a Nigerian President to be at any funeral or event outside the Villa, the event must have at least 48 hours…..”

hmmmmmmmmmmmm……. that doesn’t justify his absence and is a total nonsense for him not to come or even send deligates in person’s of VP or others………..
Is it law or just from his wish?
That’s nonsense, so if his relative died that means he won’t attend the janazah, that is bad
That’s not enough to be excuse from the funeral
