Herdsmen Crisis needs political intervention – Lawan
Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, has stated that the intervention of political leaders is needed to stop the herdsmen crisis and activities of bandits and kidnappers in the country.
The senate president described political leaders as problem solvers.
Speaking during a plenary on Tuesday to welcome lawmakers back from the Christmas/New Year recess, Lawan noted that leaders in the country need to unite against criminality.
He also urged the leaders to resist the antics of divisive elements bent on instigating inter-ethnic tensions across the country.
According to him, “insurgency, banditry, kidnapping, and militancy are challenges that require the collaborative effort of the legislature and executive to tackle.
You talk more and do less. You people should rise up please
