Suspected kidnappers who allegedly killed a 6-year-old girl after demanding for N8m ransom from her family, have been paraded by the police.
The suspects reportedly kidnapped the little girl on November 2, 2020, in Gabije community of Kogi State, alongside her 14-year-old brother.
While the boy escaped from his abductors, the girl was unlucky as she was killed by her captors and buried in a shallow grave. The victim’s parents could not afford the ?8m ransom and were trying to negotiate the amount before involving the police authorities.
The kidnappers later killed the little girl because the demand was not met.
Police spokesperson, Frank Mba said the police arrested some of the key suspects and also pledged to ensure that they arrest other suspects who are at large.
The key suspect, Domozu who is from Gabije community denied claim of them killing the child. He alleged that the girl died of stomach complications, a claim Mba dismissed on grounds of exhumed corpse of the child showing signs of violence.
Five AK-47 rifles and magazines, life ammunition as well as the sum of ?765,000 were recovered from the suspects.

After the parade, nothing will be heard of the case again. Those suspects will use the ransom they collected to bribe their way out of police net and return to their nefarious activities. If our police have been upright in prosecuting all the criminals they put effort to arrest, there will be no incident of reoccurring crimes.
I hope if taking to court the judge involves won’t tamper justice with mercy because those involved are wicked one.
Human being is the most wicked animal on Earth, how on Earth will you kill a fellow human being because you demand money from them as ransom and they don’t have.
Even the police don’t need more evidence, this one is even beyond evidences, kidnapped little girl and saying she died of complication, which complication is that? Evil man.
I urge the court to judge this case with severity of his offence, nothing else than to convict him to death by hanging.
