Nigerians react as IGP creates SWAT as the replacement for SARS
Nigerians have reacted to creation of a new unit named Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team, as replacement for the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
According to a statement from the Force Public Relations Officer DCP Frank Mba, it is expected that the unit will fill the gaps arising from the dissolution of the defunct SARS. He added that recruitment has commenced for operatives of the new unit.
Nigerians have now reacted to the announcement and also expressed their fear over the new police unit.

Can a leopard change its spot? I don’t think so because attitude can’t leave its owner. What we need is Reformation of police in general, their clothes are black while also their attitudes are also black.
Special weapons and tactics (SWAT), hope this won’t even be dangerous than the disbanded SARS, the name weapons include in their name, eheee. Police management should orientate them on how to discharge their duties diligently without compromise.
Changing name without reorientation, well funded, well trained and condusive atmosphere to thrive without these their attitudes may be dangerous than the disbanded SARS.
This is actually not what we need, you said you before there unit, you later change there name from #SARS TO #SWAT what is the meaning of the endSars we are protesting all this while, as you change there name now, the arrogant and mentality is full of them now which can never be changed.
