”We will have no mercy’- Gov Obaseki threatens to go after Oshiomole if he tries to disrupt the peace in Edo
Newly re-elected governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, has said that his government will have no mercy in dealing with former governor of the state, Adams Oshiomole if he attempts to disrupt the peace in the state.
Obaseki said this when he appeared on ARISE TV this morning, September 22. While responding to questions on whether he would be sending Oshiomole out of the state following his re-election, Obaseki said
”I don’t have any plans to. If he continues to behave as he has always done, if he continues to be destructive. If he continue to fund his lions in Edo state and tries to create problems for us here, then we will not have any mercy. It is totally up to him.”
Governor Obaseki said the likes of Tiubu, Oshiomole, and others pose a threat to Nigeria if they continue in the manner in which they play politics in the country.
“For us, the challenge with Oshiomole and Ahmed Tinubu is that except they change their ways, they pose a great danger to our society because they extra-constitutional players.
They have constituted themselves to what they say they are without any constitutional responsibility and trying to overlord themselves over people who have constitutional authorities and if we allow them to continue in the mode they are, they will destroy our democracy.”he said
Speaking further, he said
They are none constitutional actors. When I was in APC, I was always surprised at the role of the Leader. There is nothing in the constitution of our country or even in that party giving anybody the role as a leader. The title leader has no constitutional backing.
They cannot sit in their houses or wherever they are and can determine who becomes what, who gets into what office. It is very anti-democratic.
When asked if he will ever consider returning to the APC as he has won the battle to return to office as a governor, Obaseki said
”I think it will immoral and unfair to begin to even have any consideration at this point about leaving this platform that gave me the mandate. There must be morals in politics. People must be ethical in their politics. At this point in time, I do not think it is right or is the proper thing to do to jettison the platform the brought me into power, particularly as I have no issues or challenges or problems with the party now”
They no born oshomole we’ll make he cause trouble for edo
What is wrong with this Oshiomole won’t he rest? Why can’t he just accept defeat and allow Obaseki and the people of Edo to have peace nawa oh. Is he the only man in that state, anywhere he is there must be trouble and confusion. Abeg dear Obaseki if Oshiomole do anyhow, show him anyhow.
You are totally right Obaseki. No one is supposed to be above the laws of the land be he who.
If Oshomohle continues to disturb the state, he should be dealt with accordingly and severely as any other person afterall he does not have two heads
If he wants to be free he should behave well and never behave as a holigan that he always tries to
Portray himself to be
For Tinubu he should go and mind Lagos…o
Yea,the peace that is in Edo state should not be disrupted by anybody.Leaving the political party that gave him victory isn’t the right thing to do.
Actions speak louder than words, your words don’t mean anything to me till then.
Look at your last statement, when you don’t have issues, challenges or problems with the party that brought you to power but if you do, you will do the same with them. I have known before that politicians can do or go any length to achieve their aims and in terms of godfatherism, it’s not possible in Nigeria today to be in a post or elected post not to have any to nominate you.
In politics you must have a person you loyal to because if you don’t have, I don’t it’s possible to get the ticket of your ambition except the God of miracles. Before you get to where you are today is through this godfather you are talking about. What I could deduce from this is that those leaders or godfather should trend softly with whoever they brought to power. I know that oshiomole won’t disturb you. Talking about Tinubu, the party that brought you to lime light today is tinubu’s party, so don’t see portrait Tinubu as a bad person today and I hope you won’t have issues, challenges and problems with them as you said.
Yes I support him oshomole should respect himself.
From all indication Obaseki doesn’t have anything against Oshomole but if Oshomole keeps interfering in government activities and causing problem in Edo. I backed Obaseki to pepe him mercilessly.
I love this man, if only most politicians we be like him then our country we be a better place
pls go after if they worry ur state
Good. He should be ban from the state like ganduje did kwankwaso
Tinubu and oshiomole are not a real human being, because how can a normal person be behaving like mad person. Why are you threaten the peace of Edo I’m talking to👉 oshiomole. Governor of the state have right to do anything he like to stop you if you are disturbing the peace of Edo.
Edo election is a big example for ondo state to separate there self from bad government like APC.
It shows how 2023 we look alike because both tinubu and APC cacause we surely loose everywhere, they will be come failiure in 2023. Use all your power to stop oshiomole and all APC to stop them from people of Edo.
Please, now that the battle is over, concentrate to serve your people. Avoid distractors and maintain your polished posture. Play clean politics and be a model to others.
Why Can’t He Just Accept Defeat And Allow Obaseki And The People Of Edo To Have Peace Nawa Oh. Is He The Only Man In That State, Anywhere He Is There Must Be Trouble And Confusion. Abeg Dear Obaseki
Oshiomole has become a shadow of himself since he joined APCand became the party leader. A man who fights for the right of the people has now become a political thug. What a pity!
Wow very nice.
