Jonathan visits Buhari, says their relationship is okay
Former Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan, has described his relationship with his successor, President Muhammadu Buhari, as okay.
He said this after a short meeting with the president today, July 21. He further applauded Buhari on the completion of the railway project.
“You have been seeing me coming and I have been having friendly conversations. So, our relationship is ok.
“Let me use this opportunity to commend Mr. President publicly. I’ve already sent a letter to appreciating. It’s a good gesture.
“And completing the railway programme is good. It shows that the President is doing, is going on with the legacy projects of the previous administrations. That is the way to go.
“I sent a letter to him. I commended him verbally too but you are asking me now. Let me also do it publicly. I appreciate it, I thank Mr. President, the Minister of Transportation and others that made it possible” he said
Very good
Kudos to the formal president for laying the foundation but appreciation goes to the incumbent president for the conclusion of the work started and not abandoning it. Thank him for recognizing your labor.
I like Jonathan, what a peaceful man
It has to be okay as long as your personal comfort is guaranted. But have you as former president asked Nigerians if their relationship with Buhari is as ok as yours with him. How many times have you condemned the killing of our soldiers by Boko haram, or killings in Sothern Kaduna, Zamfara, Taraba, Benue etc. If its ok with you. Sir, its not ok with us. Someone has to tell Buhari in his face that his service chiefs are not performing. If you can not do it as ex president, who will.
