A Nigerian asked me, ‘how do I explain to my white friends that what we do in movies is not how we are? My reply, have they explained to u anything about the gun violence, witchcraft & vampire movies they do?”

  2. Thank you for depicting and clarifying this issues
The simple truth lies that We don’t owe anyone an explanation of how our movies are produced
In as much as they depict our cultural setting, it still doesn’t mean it’s the entirety of the Nigerian culture

  3. Nollywood movies is more in tandem to realities to happenstance to Nigeria everyday life than Hollywood. Hollywood of recent produces movie that can never be related to human life. How can one explain Hollywood movie of flying human beings. Or one person killing millions of people in battle of gun duel without a scratch.
