“He Tried to Remove Me” — Gov Yusuf Accuses Ex-Deputy of Power Plot
Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has accused his former deputy, Aminu Abdussalam, of attempting to unseat him and take over power.
Speaking at the Government House, Yusuf claimed the former deputy’s actions were part of a failed plot against his administration.
“Whatever pushed him… was an effort to depose me and occupy the seat, but God did not permit it,” he said.
The governor also noted he had not seen Abdussalam’s resignation letter and insisted no wrongdoing from his administration warranted the move.
He further questioned how the former deputy was treated within the Kwankwasiyya Movement, suggesting he may not have been given fair political opportunities.
