“Sowore is lucky, he would have had a taste of Umu Aba” – Abia Govt Slams Sowore Over ‘Overrated’ Comment on Otti
The Abia State Government has criticised activist Omoyele Sowore for describing Governor Alex Otti as overrated.
Sowore had claimed in a viral video that Aba’s development was only a “half-transformation” during his visit for a pro-Nnamdi Kanu protest.
Reacting, the Director General of the Abia State Strategic Communications Bureau, Onyebuchi Ememanka, dismissed the remark as unfair, saying Sowore spent less than 24 hours in the city and made a hasty judgment.
He insisted that residents appreciate Otti’s impact, adding that Sowore’s comments would likely have faced backlash if made publicly within Aba.
“How can Sowore spend less than 24 hours in Aba and know Aba more than those who live here?
” Anyway Sowore is lucky. If he wanted to know first hand if Governor Alex Otti is loved and appreciated by the people in Aba, he should have told the people that day that Otti is not doing anything.
