Actor Uzor Arukwe reacts after being dragged into marital crisis rumour involving BBN couple BamBam and Teddy A
Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has fired back at an online troll who linked him to the alleged marital crisis between actress BamBam and her husband, Teddy A. In a strong statement shared on X (formerly Twitter) this Wednesday, Arukwe dismissed a viral rumor claiming he was responsible for a pregnancy that supposedly ended the couple’s marriage.
The controversy erupted after an X user alleged that Teddy A discovered through “leaked private chats” that BamBam was pregnant for Arukwe, her co-star in the viral 2025 film Love In Every Word. The actor, known as “Odogwu” by fans of the movie, condemned the claims as entirely baseless and defamatory.
Arukwe revealed that his team has already identified the specific account behind the “false rumors and baseless accusations.” He stated that he deliberately chose not to tag or quote the handle to avoid giving the user the attention and “Elon Musk money” they were seeking through social media engagement.
Addressing the issue directly, the actor wrote: “A specific account has been identified to spread false rumors and baseless accusations about me and my professional engagement with another colleague in the industry. I choose not to quote the account directly, as I refuse to give such accounts the engagement they seek at the risk of jail time.”
Arukwe warned that he intends to take legal action to ensure the individual is held accountable. He emphasized that the move is necessary to protect his reputation and set a standard for digital conduct in the entertainment industry.
“Believe me when I say this: that individual will be made a scapegoat,” Arukwe asserted. He added that this would serve as a lesson for others to “respect boundaries and refrain from chasing clout at the expense of damaging someone else’s reputation.”
The rumors surface amidst intense public scrutiny of BamBam and Teddy A’s marriage, as fans recently noted the couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram. Despite the noise, Arukwe has maintained that his relationship with BamBam remains strictly professional.
