“I need to go find my life since you said you can take care of them’’- Singer Harrysong’s ex-wife says as she gives up custody of their children to him

Alexes Peres, ex-wife of Nigerian singer Harrysong, has announced that she has taken the painful decision to temporarily give up custody of their two children, aged four and three.

In an emotional video shared on social media on Thursday, Alexes accused the singer of frustrating her life since she refused to return to their matrimonial home after leaving the marriage two years ago.

“This man has not allowed me to rest. He frustrates my efforts. He comes to my house unannounced. He harasses me everywhere… At this point, I am tired,” she said, adding that Harrysong is rarely present at home and leaves the children with domestic staff.

She also alleged that the singer recently filed a petition against her containing false claims, which she said she would counter in due time.

Explaining her decision, Alexes said the emotional pressure surrounding the children had become overwhelming.

“I am going to now give him custody, for now. That doesn’t mean I am not going to come back for my children… I need to live,” she stated, insisting her move is not weakness but survival.

She warned that nothing should happen to the children, stressing that despite handing over custody, she intends to fight for them when the time is right.

“Nigerians should bear me witness,” she concluded.
