
Niger Governor Sacks 30 Special Advisers in Administration Reshuffle
Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has relieved 30 special advisers of their duties as part of efforts to restructure his administration.
The decision was confirmed in a statement issued on Tuesday, December 16, by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim. According to the statement, the announcement was made during the governor’s first council meeting with newly inaugurated commissioners at the Government House in Minna.
The move, Ibrahim said, is aimed at reviewing, realigning and repositioning advisory roles to improve efficiency and effectiveness in line with the state’s New Niger agenda.
Governor Bago also thanked the affected advisers for their service and contributions, wishing them success in their future endeavours.
